The first track written for the album (that wasn’t planned to be an album). The idea started with a label on a bottle of “Boh” beer that reads “A Saskatchewan Tradition”. Turns out it is brewed in Ontario today but started out in a brewery in Prince Albert, SK. Cue the real Saskatchewan tradition of marching on Ottawa to protest this unjust evolution of big brewery business.

Only it turns out our heroes go the wrong direction (too much beer) and end up in Calgary instead.

on the wonderful fields of Saskatchewan the sky and the wind in my hair
I has a few Bohemians the label I read it with care
since ’26 we got our fix from the brewery up in PA
but the market was small so it took a fall and moved Ontario’s way

we marched along and we drank our share oceans of wheat we go
collecting our stories of hungover glory
chasing the legend of Boh

here’s a case of Western pride, our traditions kicked in the dirt
we’re farmers here, strong and proud but this one it really hurt
Tommy and the CCF fought all those chowder heads
we’ll do it again and we’re gonna win so we’re off to see the Feds

we drove along and we drank our share waving to strangers “hello”
our tractors in high and only clear skies
chasing the legend of Boh

we wound our way down the open road, like the ‘riders we gave a good fight
cheering strong in third and long a city came into sight
we stopped at a bar, we had come far, our tractors had kept a good speed
we asked for a local brew my friend and we handed a Calgary
